covers

Nine of my scifaiku are featured in the latest issue of Digital Dragon, which you can read here, if you're so inclined. Topics range from overpopulation and the steampunk craze to time travel and bad indigestion, and there might even be a mosquito woman in there somewhere.

"Just Leave" is included in the Frightmares flash fiction anthology, available here. My 500-word tale is just one of 129 others jam-packed into this volume, and it's a delightful story of home invasion, cruelty, and one five-year-old's revenge.

Next up is Pulp Empire's Heroes & Heretics anthology, which includes my Coyote Cal weird western "Fool's Gold." I'll be posting the first few episodes next week, but if you'd like to purchase all 19 tales for your eReader, you can do so here or here. A print edition is also available, and this is the first time one of my stories will be earning a percentage on every sale made.

"El Diablo de Paseo Grande" is one of 30 weird and unsettling stories found in the new Arcane anthology, available here and here. This one's another Coyote Cal and Big Yap weird western, and it's their darkest adventure yet as they follow the trail of a horrific beast that's been mutilating the locals' livestock. (Lots of ewws in this one.)

And last but not least, here's the cover art for my story "Identity Thief" which is scheduled to be released as an eBook by Musa Publishing on the 27th. I'm curious to see how many folks buy it, considering the fact that self-publishers offer their own full-length novels for the same price: 99 cents. I'll be making 50% of every purchase, but don't worry; I won't start begging you to buy my work. "Identity Thief" is available for pre-order in a variety of formatseven PDF, so you won't need an eReader if you decide to check it out.

Most of my published stories are free anyway, but it sure is cool to see this stuff for sale!

I'm tired just reading this post! :) Good work, Milo. As usual.

Madeline: Just as long as it doesn't make you tired of reading.

Thanks for the cover art kudos, everybody. Weirdly enough, we do judge books/eBooks by their covers, don't we?

You are super-busy.

I love the ebook dover for Identity Thief. Let us know how sales go, as I'm curious to see how shorts sell compared to full-length novels at that price-point.

Madeleine: True that; there's nothing quite like seeing my hard work in print.

Stephanie: Will do!

Mark: So glad you're jumping aboard the short-story writing train. Write1Sub1 has been a real inspiration, thanks to Mr. Bradbury.
